The Power: The Great Power In You
Monday, March 31, 2025
Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, — Ephesians 3:20
There is no question that Almighty God can do all things, that He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all! He is almighty, He is all-powerful; after all, He is God! But notice the whole verse: His ability to do is “according to the power that worketh in us”! It’s not by the power that works in Him, it’s by the power that works in us! The Church believed for years that to deny having any power was humility: “God has all the power.” That is not humility, that is ignorance of the exceeding greatness of His power to you! To believe that you have no power is to have no power working in you, which stops God’s ability to “do.” There is power in you, but the power needs to be at work in you. Stir up the gift you have in you! Believe it, confess it, tell others of the gift of God and watch it go to work.
Redeemed: By the Blood

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
— I Peter 1:18, 19
It wasn't the blood of a goat or calf that paid for our redemption. In the Old Covenant the people offered sacrifices of bulls and goats to atone for, or cover, their sins. Even though blood was shed and the sacrifice made, there was still a remembrance of their sins and failings. No matter how hard they tried to obey the laws, they continued to fail, because animal blood could not change their nature. They were born sinners because of Adam, and the blood could only cover them and their sins. We were not redeemed with animal blood, but with the blood of God. Our sins have been wiped out forever and our nature has been eternally changed. The blood of God has done what animal blood could never do re-create mankind (2 Cor. 5:17, 18; 2 Pet. 1:4).
Redeemed: The Only Solution

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? — Hebrews 9:14
Animal blood was no more than a Band-aid® to the sin problem. It was a temporary fix until the real sacrifice was made and the real blood was shed. Man for centuries had tried to deal with sin in his own efforts. He did penance, practiced self-denial, even caused himself to suffer, all in an attempt to get free of guilt and condemnation. Adam and Eve used a fig leaf to try to remedy their situation, but they were still afraid of God. The blood of Christ is the only antidote for sin and guilt. Christ's blood wipes away not only your sin and your past, but the old you. The Blood has re-created you after God, in righteousness and holiness, forever (Ephesians 4:24).
Redeemed: The Best Cleansing Agent
Thursday, March 20, 2025
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. — 1 John 1:7
With guilt, sin, and condemnation wiped away, you now have the ability to enter into the presence of God boldly and without fear. Meditating on the Blood will take away your sin-consciousness and give you a justified thought-life. “Therefore, being justified by faith [in Jesus' blood, you] have peace with God....” You and God are no longer distant, no longer far away; you have been made nigh by the Blood. Your new relationship is not a fear relationship but a faith and love relationship. You no longer go to church, read the Bible, and pray because you are afraid of God, but because you love God. Love becomes the drawing force, giving you a hunger to know Him and to have close fellowship with Him. Everything you do now in the Kingdom is love-motivated ― because He first loved you. If you sin, do not go back into sin, condemnation, and self-works, but confess the sin and believe in the Blood. He is faithful to forgive and cleanse (1 John 1:9).
Delivered: It's A Past Tense Verb
Wednesday, March 19, 2025
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.— Colossians 1:13, 14
When you received Jesus into your life and became born again, it was a lot more than just a change of eternal destiny. Yes, you are now on your way to heaven, but the power of the Blood provided much more. The Word declares that you have been delivered, set free, rescued from the power of darkness. Notice that this is an immediate positional change from being under the power of darkness one moment to instantly being delivered from it. If you are born again, you are delivered from darkness--from demons, fear, sickness, and poverty. You have been delivered from the entire curse that came on mankind through Adam’s sin. You may not look delivered, feel delivered, or are living delivered, but you have been delivered and that deliverance is available to you today! Say it to yourself often, “I have been delivered!”
