YOUR INHERITANCE Positioned in the Will

Read Romans 8:31–37.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors.
—Romans 8:37
Due to your new birth, you have experienced a position change in Christ. You are no longer a victim, a weak human being; you are now more than a conqueror! You may not feel like a winner or look like a winner, but you have been made a conqueror in Christ. Notice, you are not trying to become a conqueror or struggling to become a conqueror; you are more than a conqueror! Where are you a conqueror? In the midst of trials, tribulations, troubles, persecutions, and attacks of the enemy—you are still more than a conqueror. This is your inheritance; this is your position because of Christ! If I am a conqueror, then I’m going to think like a conqueror, talk like a conqueror, and live like a conqueror! I am the head, not the tail; the above, not the beneath; I rule and reign with Christ in victory (Deuteronomy 28:13; Romans 5:17). I’ll not let the devil or my old thoughts bring me down from the victorious position my inheritance has provided for me. I am more than a conqueror in every situation! It is my right! It is my inheritance, and nothing will separate me from it! I have it in the will and testament! Troubles? Attacks? Situations? Lack? Symptoms? Nay, in all these things, you are more than a conqueror.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. —Ephesians 2:10
You were created in Christ Jesus. You have been made a “new creation,” a “new spiritual being” (2 Corinthians 5:17 nkjv). You are God’s handiwork; you are God’s creation. This new creation now has received an inheritance of blessings in Christ Jesus. These are benefits that are not earned, but given to you freely in your new birth. In the natural, people will get into long, legal battles and fall out with each other over an inheritance that is left to them. They want to get everything that belongs to them in the will. Yet most Christians do not know or even care about the spiritual inheritance that belongs to them. Many do not even take time to read the will to see what is theirs. The Word of God is full of your spiritual inheritance, and it awards to you all you need to live a full and victorious life. Take time starting today to get in the will! See what God through Jesus’s blood has made you and given you. Do not let the enemy steal what legally belongs to you through your own ignorance of the will. You are God’s workmanship, created to receive the riches of that inheritance.

. . . and what [are] the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. —Ephesians 1:18
You were born into a spiritual inheritance the day you received Jesus as your Savior and became born again. This verse states that there are riches in this inheritance. As a believer, you have the responsibil- ity to first find out the riches that belong to you as a child of God and then appropriate these spiritual realities in your daily life. Through the Word of God, the Holy Spirit will reveal to you who you are and what belongs to you because of the cross of Calvary. Most Christians stop at the “ticket to heaven” of their salvation and never step into the riches of their inheritance. The Word of God is Jesus’s last will and testament to you. The promises in the Word belong to you; they have been paid for and given to you when Jesus died. You must take time to get into the will and discover the riches that belong to you! Those riches are what will separate you from being a “normal” Christian to living as a victor in every area and in every situation of your life. You “have obtained an inheritance” (Ephesians 1:11, emphasis added).
The Church: The Sent

So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. -- Mark 16:19, 20
Jesus Christ is seated bodily at the right hand of the Father. He will never preach another sermon, He will never cast out another devil, He will never again heal another sick person. He said, “Go ye,” and then ascended and sat down. God’s perfect will is that the Church should go, the Church should preach, the Church should cast out, the Church should heal, and the Church should speak in tongues. Instead, the Church has spent most of its time praying and asking God to do it, pleading and wondering why God does not do it. But the Great Commission is not the Church sending the Lord–-it is the Lord sending the Church. When the Church finally understands God’s plan of operation and goes, each member will be accompanied by signs following them. The time to pray and chase signs and wonders is over; it is time for the supernatural to follow you everywhere you go. People will hear the Good News, they will get delivered of demonic strongholds, they will be set free from sickness and disease. This is the lifestyle of a believer in the world today. Jesus has been received up–-now it is time to go everywhere!

Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. -- Acts 2:33
We found out that Jesus was received up into heaven bodily; that the believer should go into all the world and preach the gospel, and that supernatural signs would follow the believer. When we go, the Lord will work “with” the believer, not for the believer. If the Lord is seated at the right hand of God, how can he possibly work with us here in the earth? Here the Word tells us the Lord will work with us in the person of the Holy Ghost. The sufferings of the Cross were not just so Jesus could pay for your sins so that you could receive Him as Savior and be with Him in heaven when you die. Jesus suffered, died, and was raised not only so you could be with God, but so God could be with you here on the earth. God desired to be a part of man’s life, to be man’s Lord in every area of life: the God of your life, your marriage, your family, your job, and your money. He desires to work with you so that you not only have life, but have it more abundantly. This abundant life is available through the person of the Holy Ghost. He is not a promise, but the promise sent to you, your children, and those who are afar off (Acts 2:38, 39). He is the “pow” in your power, the “super” in your supernatural, the “vic” in your victory, and the “glo” in your glory! He is the Lord Who will work with you–-when and if you go!
