Faith, Not Feelings: Hook Up!
Tuesday, October 15, 2024
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
— John 20:29
Jesus told Thomas that the only reason he believed was because he saw. Jesus’ words before the crucifixion, “I will be raised on the third day,” had no place in Thomas, or in the other disciples. The disciples’ words of “We have seen the Lord!” had no impact on Thomas’ believing. He made a decision of his will: “...I will not believe, unless.” Many Christians will not believe “unless.” They will not believe they are healed unless they feel healed. They will not believe they are anointed unless they feel anointed. They will not simply trust in the Word with all their hearts. The result is that they miss the blessing, or the hook-up to God’s supernatural. Jesus says to not be faithless but believing. Why? Because blessed, or empowered to prosper, are they that have not seen (or felt) and yet have believed. Believing the right thing will hook you up to God’s supernatural blessings. Believing the wrong thing will disconnect you from God’s blessings. You will be hooked, connected, attached to, what you believe and you will receive what you believe. How did it happen at your new birth? You believed in Jesus as your Lord before He was your Lord; you believed in heaven without ever being there. Now expand your believing into health, wealth, power, authority, and victory, even if you do not see it. Blessed are you because you have not seen but yet believed!
God's Army: Become Dangerous!
Monday, November 20, 2023
It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. — John 6:45a
We are living in the greatest dispensation of all time. We have the privilege and opportunity to be personally taught by the Spirit of God. Old Testament people longed for and desired to hear the voice of God, but were taught by the Law. Today we have God Himself living on the inside of us, and we have the awesome opportunity to hear and be led by His voice on a daily basis. We no longer have just a prayer-time relationship with God, or a church relationship with God, but we have an all-day, every-day contact with God. The attention you give to your spiritual growth and development must be a priority over the intellectual and natural-realm life. Many in the Church have a head-full of information, but do not walk in the power of revelation. Revelation in the Spirit is what makes you dangerous as a soldier of God. Revelation will not only cause you to know the Word, but to act and live what you know. Peter got a revelation: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus said “You did not get this information from flesh and blood, but you were taught by My Father.” As a result, Satan desired to sift Peter as wheat. Why? Peter had become dangerous to the kingdom of darkness. Today’s army will receive revelation through Holy-Ghost preaching. As a result, they will no longer sit and prepare, but will cooperate with God. God is teaching His people.
God's Army: Our Description

...a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, — Joel 2:2b
Joel is prophesying about a last-days, one-of-a-kind army. He speaks of a group of soldiers who will run, climb, march, and invade the kingdom of darkness. When you are living in a revival ministry, you are advancing and excited about saving the lost, healing the sick, and preaching the Word. It is time to get aggressive in the Spirit. We have been given health and wealth and peace and joy and all-out victory in the spirit realm, and it is time to fight the good fight of faith. Wherever you go and whatever you do, look to invade. Do not become content with the ordinary, or to just “get by,” but look to make progress-–you are a great people and a strong-–never seen before! You are moved by God’s voice and His commands and are led by His Spirit in all truth. You cannot and will not be stopped! Others shall see you and fear and put their trust in the Lord. Soon the army will grow and multiply–-it will advance as one unit and the forces of darkness will not be safe anywhere.
The Army: Taking Action

And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it? — Joel 2:11
The army of the Lord has been in training for years. It is now the time for action, the time for invasion. We will be led by the voice of the Lord, and we must be able to hear Him clearly. After hearing His voice, you then must obey, or execute, His Word. You must be willing to go where and when He says to go, and to stop when He says to stop. It is not your responsibility to understand His orders, just to obey them and carry them out! The more you know His Word, the more you will recognize His voice. Many things that we will be commanded to do will not be able to be rationalized by our natural mind! Just hear the commandment voice and execute His commands. If He says “give,” give. If He says “pray,” pray. If He says “speak truth,” speak it! No one knows spiritual strategies better than the Lord Himself. Invade when you don’t feel like it, go when it doesn’t appear like it’s advantageous, speak when you are uneasy about speaking. He has given us power (authority and anointing) through His Word and His Spirit to tread on serpents and scorpions. To tread is to advance! To tread is to go forward in the midst of serpents and scorpions. Who can abide in the day of the Lord? He who hears the Lord’s voice and executes His commands!
The Anointing: It's A Matter of Trust and Motive

...he offered them money,
— Acts 8:18b
The power of God, the anointing of God, the Holy Ghost, cannot be bought. Simon wanted the anointing so badly that he offered the disciples money for it! Many people live without the results of the anointing because of self-works. They try to pray enough, fast enough, read enough, to impress God so He will anoint them. But you already have an anointing (1 John 2:20, 27)! If you are going to fast, you do not do it to get the anointing–-you fast by the anointing. You do not pray to get the power, you pray with the power. You do not read the Word to get the anointing, you read the Word in the anointing. Anything you do without the anointing being involved will just be a religious exercise. You have an anointing! Now put your trust in the anointing that you have. Simon’s sad mistake was that he wanted the power of God without allowing God to change his heart. He wanted the power of God so he could give out that he himself was some great one, so the people would say that he was the great one of God. What do you want the power of God for? For what purpose do you desire it? It should be a desire to help others and set them free! The power is for service to others, to minister to others, not so you can be some well-known, big-time Christian. There will be promotion in the anointing, but it will be a God-promotion, not man’s promotion. Desire the power, but keep the right motive for the use of the power–-to heal them all!
