Be Taught of the Lord

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but . . . the same anointing teacheth you of all things. —1 John 2:27

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. —John 14:26 The anointing you have of God is in you to teach you all things. You have a Teacher, an Educator of spiritual things, living in you, all day, every day. You have the ability to be taught of the Lord through out your day. Many are taught by trials, hardships, and setbacks, but God fully intended to teach you Himself, by the Holy Spirit, who is the anointing within you. His desire is to teach you all things. Spend some time each day with the Word of God and the Spirit of God. Spiritual class is in session—not only on Sunday mornings, but all the time! You have a continual, permanent Teacher with and in you always. Class is now in session! Expect to be taught!

THE TEACHER - The Indwelling Spirit

The Indwelling Spirit

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you.

—1 John 2:27

Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
—2 Corinthians 1:21–22

The anointing that you have came from God. It was His desire to re-create you as a holy and righteous “temple,” or “house” of God (1 Corinthians 3:16–17). This anointing you have abides, lives, and dwells in you. It is not mind power or soul power, but it is super- natural “God-power.” You now have the spiritual equipment needed to live a victorious life. All you will ever need is already in you by the Holy Spirit, but you must learn to cooperate and work with that ability. What a privilege to be anointed of God and taught by that anointing! The more aware you become of the anointing that you have, the more that anointing will work in your life. “I have the anointing!”

THE TEACHER - The Same Anointing

The Same Anointing

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you.

—1 John 2:27

The thing that separated Jesus from others in His earth-walk was the anointing, or the Spirit of God, in His life (Luke 4:18–21). Many read about Jesus, see the great things He did, but then say, “Those were just meant for Jesus to do!” But Jesus did all by and through the anointing that was active in His life (John 14:10–11). He operated as a man anointed with the Holy Ghost and power (Acts 10:38). In this week’s verse, John states that you have received the anointing in your life. He does not say you will get the anointing, struggle for the anointing, or pray to receive the anointing—but that you have received the anointing! Everything Jesus did because of the anointing is now available to you because you have the same anointing. Do not go by what you see and feel, but believe the Word, which declares, “You have the anointing.” Remind yourself over and over today—“I have the anointing.”

HEALING IS YOURS - What Is The Truth?

What Is the Truth?

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were . . . redeemed . . . with the precious blood of Christ . . . ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth. —1 Peter 1:18–19, 22

You know (not “wish,” not “hope,” but you know) that you were redeemed. You are not “going to be” redeemed; you are redeemed! The price has been paid, the Blood has been shed, and you are redeemed—spirit and body. “If my spirit has been redeemed, and my body has been redeemed, then why don’t I always live as a right eous and healed person?” Because your soul was not redeemed! Your soul has to be renewed to the Word of God in order to make the connection between your spirit and body. What you think will determine how you live. In this verse, Peter declares that you must purify your soul by obeying the truth. The truth is what the Word says about you. Since the Word says you are righteous—obey the truth. The Word says you are victorious—so, obey the truth. The Word says you are healed—so, obey the truth. The Word says you are redeemed, bought with the Blood—so, obey the truth and live redeemed! I will not disobey the Word and claim to be sick, a sinner, or defeated. I know I have been redeemed, so I will resist and stand against anything that is anti-redemption! I will allow His Word and redemption truth to get into my soul and cause me to be purified! Soon you will prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers (3 John 2).
